Happy Monday, beautiful! 

I thought I’d start this week off with an arrangement of questions frequently asked about muah! If you have something you are dying to know (which you probably don’t because I’m not that special) leave me a comment or connect with me on social media! 

 

 

How old are you? 

I am the youngest out of all my friends, the baby of the family, and the youngest of my management team! I’m actually 20 years old. I’ll be poppin’ the champagne, and mixing mimosas on November 5th! I’m low key just excited so I can start displaying cute alcohol bottles on my bar cart! (Just Jenni things).

Where are you from?

I reside in sunny South Carolina! I’ve lived in this beloved tourist town, Myrtle Beach for 15 years. I am originally from the Carrie Bradshaw state New York. Sadly, I’m from upstate New York, and not the city. (Sadly being because NYC is my absolute favorite place… EVER!)

Who is your favorite designer? 

As generic as this may seem, I have a small obsession with Coco Chanel. I sadly, do not own anything Chanel, but the design aesthetic is timeless. I love the play between femininity and the harshness of the suits that have been designed. Tweed is too die for, and I wish I could own every single clutch in the collections. I often say “Coco Chanel is rolling in her grave” when I see bad fashion. The brand is iconic.

What is your favorite color?

Pink, Magenta, Fushia, Blush, and Rose Gold 😉

Where did you go to college? 

I actually am STILL in college! Surprise! I am currently studying Business Management and Marketing at Coastal Carolina University. Sounds fancy, right?

Why did you start your blog? 

I have always been a creative kid, and I loved theater, singing, and playing dress up. I remember being in 8th grade wearing lace, pearls, and “vintage” inspired clothing, while all the other kids wore Abercrombie and Hollister. I knew from an early age, I was different. Not just style wise, but mindset wise. I think being put together is so appealing, and I wanted to share my love for fashion with the world. I do it on a daily basis by just walking the streets, but creating something online is something seriously magical. This sounds dumb but, when Myspace use to be a thing I would spend hours designing my page, redoing it a million times because I LOVED designing it. So I think of this as my mature Myspace page. I want every person who comes across my page to have an understanding of how amazing of a person they are, or can become. I want people to feel inspired and happy when they scroll the screen. Being confident, different, and stylist are all things that my blog stands for – Style, Inspire, & Conspire!

If you could visit any place in the world – where would you go?

PARIS, FRANCE! Hands down, I am obsessed with this city! I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to Eiffle Tower photography. I met the sweetest guy from France who I interned at Disney with, and one day we are going to get macaroons and stroll around France. A girl can dream right? 

What is your go to beauty look? 

Lately I have been loving winged eyeliner & dramatic eyelashes with a nude lip. 

What is your occupation? 

Well, I am obviously in school, but I am the full time manager at Charming Charlie!  I question working here everyday because my bank account goes broke pretty quick due to new inventory every week! If you’ve never been in do yourself a  favor and go! 

Do you have a boyfriend? 

As much as I love, love – I am not in the mindset to date or be in the dating scene. I do not “tinder” or use any dating apps. I personally think it’s not organic and honestly sad. *No offense to those who do* I have never been the type to “need” a guy to feel happy, and that is something really important to me. I know in my heart God has somebody amazing planned for me, and right now is not that time. I love focusing on myself, and I am extremely independent and success driven, so having a boyfriend would take up time that I sadly don’t even have! MISS INDEPENDENT, over here! Although, if Cole Sprouse showed up at my doorstep with Trolli gummy worms & pink roses…… I’d be all about it! 😉

What is something that you cannot live without? 

Carmex Chapstick, All the Taylor Swift albums that ever existed, Ice water, Make Up Wipes, Chicken nuggets, Rose, Vogue Magazine, and Project Runway. 

Who inspires you? 

Jesus Christ, Taylor Swift, Audrey Hepburn, Elle Woods, Coco Chanel, Jackie Kennedy, Alisha Marie, My best friend Laine, Joanna Coles, Holly Childs, Lauren Conrad, Lady Gaga, Catherine Holmes,  McKenna Bleu, Sierra Furtado, Kaylee Barnes, Kier  Mellour, Tiffany Ma, Aspyn Ovard, Carrie Bradshaw, the list could go on, and on, and on, and ON…. But last but not least my amazing family for always believing and inspiring me on a daily basis. “Let everything around you, inspire you”

Flying to The City of Angels

Life’s Adventure.

A city I have always dreamed of.

I’ve only seen LA in photos, movies, and vlogs of all my favorite youtubers, so it was surreal. I was expecting glitz and glam, running into some movie star like Zac Efron (brb dying), but it honestly was not as special as I anticipated it to be. In my mind it thought LA was so magical land, (la la land) where everybody was boujee and had eye lash extensions. Buying groceries, I could not stop staring at everybody is Ralphs because I wanted to know who they were, what there story was, and why they were in LA. It’s a city all about wonder, dreaming, and letting go, hence flying. I could definitely see myself living here. I felt really inspired seeing girls carrying around their cannons. I didn’t feel weird. I felt normal. Let’s be real, the amount of people who stare at me because I wanna have a random photoshoot in the middle of a grocery store aisle is kind of funny.

 Life is full of adventure, and that’s basically what LA stands for… (Life’s Adventure). Haaay. I seriously just made that up on the spot.

ANYWAYS! *random rants about life* #JustJenniThings 

LETS TALK LALA LAND!

Melrose Avenue was my favorite. I really wish I had more time to explore and spoil myself in the super cute stores and boutiques. We did end up going to Carrera Cafe, which literally was one of the things I HAD to do. I am a sucker for cute coffee shops, and even cuter lattes. Oh and y’all their donuts…. let’s just say if you order one, you will never want any donut ever again. #Amazing. #BLESSED. They also had trendy juices, cold brews, and waters that I wanted to try because hey, you’re in LA. “So, LA” 😉 

SANTEE ALLEY!!! Oh my gosh, if you are obsessed with thrifting, and great deals, you. need. to. go. My friend Holly actually recommended this place because everywhere I would ask her where her clothes are from she’d say “From LA”. So, with that being said… I found some of the cutest things ever! Living in a town like Myrtle Beach, where Southern is the savior, finding trendy pieces that did not have a palm tree or Lilly print on it was super refreshing. 

I channeled my inner Lauren Conrad when scoping out The Hollywood Hills. We paid a visit to Warner Brother Studios, and saw a taping of Conan. Anddd, my life is amazing and WILL FERRELL was a surprise special guest. The episode where he came on the show painted as a Tiger… yeah, I was there. In the audience. *hair flip* That makes me famous by association, right? (just kidding!). But the tickets were free, you just have to get them superrr in advance. I low key felt super special walking on the same ground that Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily walked on. Shout out to #PLL Fans! 

I got to take photos infront of the PINK WALL, & they even painted it rainbow for pride month which is so so awesome! #LoveisLove

Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Stars, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach. For as little as four days, we really did SO much sight seeing in LA! I seriously can’t wait to go back and explore! I’m sure it won’t be too long of a wait 😉

San Francisco State of Mind

San Francisco Stole My Heart 

As a girl who loves the city, I was so excited when I learned that I was going to be visiting San Francisco. It has been on my bucket list to ride in a cable car and take photos in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. I’m obsessed with city lights, and skyscrapers, and the hustle and bustle of a city. San Francisco was unlike any other. I could not believe how insanely freezing it was. So freezing in fact that I was forced into buying a pink plaid scarf from one of the very many shops in Chinatown. I got to experience the subway, although it reeked of marijuana (atleast its legal), and experience the tourist trap of the Fisherman Wharf. What a trip! San Fran was a cute mini little city, that was filled with wonder and a lot of wind! I’m so thrilled I got the opportunity to experience this wondrous city. 

Things you MUST do when you visit San Fran!

• Visit The Full House, House 
• Fisherman Wharf 
• Ride in a Cable Car
• Go to Chinatown 
• Take The Subway 
• Stroll Through Union Square
• See the Golden Gate Bridge 
• Visit the Two Story Ross / Marshall’s (heaven!)
• Eat at “Fish” (so freaking yummy!)

Style Inspire – Pastel Queens

Here are a few photos that really have hit home and inspired me. The vibe and colorization of these photos have been relatable to who I have been becoming through out this past month of June. Sometimes in life you have to accept that not everything is perfect, no matter how hard you try for things to line up perfectly. Going with the flow, reading, traveling, finding out more about who you are and what you love, will go the extra mile and help everything fall into place.  

Traveling to The Wine Country

California is Always A Good Idea

California is made up of pretty views, pretty people, and pretty grand adventures. I had the pleasure of making it 2,856 miles across the country to experience the beauty of the wine country itself, Napa. From the girl who has a mild obsession with Rose, I was basically in heaven. Wine, family, & scenic views – how could life get any better?

In life, I think it is extremely important to experience the world. My family and I had so much fun flying all the way to California to reunite with family and celebrate a special day to unify the love for Jason & Kha. Imagine getting married in beautiful Napa Valley, can – you say marriage goals ?! 

So what does one do when you go to Napa Valley?

Well the answer is drink wine, go wine tasting, take photos in the vineyards, appreciate the beautiful world God has created, go wine tasting (again) and drink some more.

Make a list of places you want to adventure to.  

Stop splurging on Starbucks and save up for your study abroad.

Book a flight to Greece, just because you want.

Life is too short to stay in one place.

That’s why we have feet instead of roots.

Lipsense – The Luxury Lip Brand

May is the introduction of summer, a time of happiness and sunshine! Graduation parties you are ready to rock, summer vacations you have had planned for months in advance… but we can not forget how to stay fabulous while we simmer in the sunshine! 

One of my favorite products that I have recently tried is a lip product called Lipsense! 

                            

Lipsense has over 40 colors that are long lasting lip colors, that stay on up to 18 hours! They are all available in yellow warm based, neutral based, and blue cool based so every skin tone can look beautiful! I decided to try out the color Rose Ice – not only is the color beautiful but so is the name! I am super excited to wear this color on my upcoming vacations and beach trips!

Steps for Long Lasting beautiful lips!

1). Make sure lips are clean, and all dead skin is vanished

2). Apply Lipsense to lips – applying 3 times – letting the product dry in between each layer 

3). Add the clear Moisturizing gloss for a beautiful finish!

So,  secret is out! I have really dry lips.. and it is kind of a problem. I always have issues with lip sticks staying on, without drying out my lips.  When I say chap-stick is my best friend, I am not kidding! The cool thing about Lipsense, is that not only did it actually stay on all day, it kept my lips feeling moisturized and pleasant all day long! Who doesn’t love a lip product that seriously stays on all day long! No reapplications, no lipstick on my new blouse… I cannot wait to try out more colors and give my summer look a refreshed look with Lipsense!

Wisdom, Words, & Life Lessons- March 2017.

You can always count on yourself, because you are your own. 

Meryl  Strep once said, “take your broken heart, and turn it into art”. This quote is something that reminds me to persevere, through all the bad, the tough, and the exhausting, because everything that is broken can be turned into something. I’m a strong girl. I have a thick heart, and I’ve learned a few lessons along my journey through life.

Lesson One – remember that you are here for a reason. Whatever that reason is, you have a purpose, a meaning, and you are important. Lesson Two– never let fear hold you back from anything. If you are scared, you are starting. You are physically feeling something, and all it takes is that little moment in your mind to convince yourself to do it. Do it no matter how embarrassing, uncomfortable, and thrilling it is. Lesson Three -Never let anyone tell you know who you are. The person who knows you the best, is yourself. You are capable of an extra ordinary, wonderful, meaningful life, and do not let ANYONE try to take that away from you.

It is March in flaming hot Florida, and I have recently embarked on a magical Disney dream that entails 45+ hour work weeks, loads of stress, no time to flip through fashion magazines and roam around looking for cute places to take photos. Granted yes, I live in Disney, and as glamorous as it seems. It’s not. Sure, you see me snap chatting the castle every day, and my obsession with Sprinkles cupcakes in Disney Springs. People do not seem to understand what it means to work for Disney.  I work full time, overtime, two internships, and take a full semester of bold business classes to spring me forward to graduation. YES, I love living in Florida. YES, my life is amazing. But with amazing memories, and adventures comes hard work and a lot of it. You may be wondering, how the hell does she do it.  If you are wondering how please note that I ask myself this question Every. Damn. Day.

My day off includes me sitting in the cushioned chair at the Starbucks across the street from my overpriced Disney apartment, writing this post. I finally get home to my apartment and am welcomed by a desk filled with dead flowers because one roommate does not know how to take trash out and a couch that is has olive and brown geometric patterns on it (yikes). I call my friend Kate to confirm our plans to de-stress ourselves with a Starbucks date which is usually meant for gossip and wanting to cry due to excessive amount of homework. As I swing on my black and white Charming Charlie cross body, I make my way out. I parade all the way to my car, that really needs a bath, and realize *shit Jenni* you need a car key to start your car. I casually call my roomie Leigh, and she willingly opens to door for me. As I innocently make my way into my apartment, my roommate Tabatha looks me up and down and gives me a deviled dirty look. Why you ask? Well… in life there is such a thing as petty people.  It’s like this girl just saw somebody wearing crocs. Oh wait, she is one of those who actually does. I think Coco Chanel is turning in her grave.

Which brings me to my point,  

There are people in this world who are going to think that they know you but, news flash. They don’t. There are going to be people who say you are a bitch, you are nobody, you are unpleasing,and  you are nothing. It is your job, your duty, and your honor to look those people in the eyes and let them know how truly unworthy they are to even breathe the same air as you. It is a known fact in life that people are not going to like you. People are going to try to please you. And people are going to want to be you.

It is a sad moment when you realize that people want to throw bricks at your own empire.  People intentionally want to see you fall. People want to see you off guard, vulnerable, and unsteady. No matter how immature, and displeasing those people are, remember they are necessary in life. They are necessary because they let you see the bad in them, so you can easily recognize the good in others.  Just remember that the people who want to bring you down in life, are already below you.

We all have seen it.  Those girls who look “tumblr af” and can rock a pair of mom jeans. They are walking down the street, Adidas superstars, Starbucks latte, and bedazzled bomber jacket. You constantly look at those girls on pinterest, tumblr, and youtube  for fashion inspiration as say “I just can’t pull that off”. Well, it is 2017 my friends and it is time. Time to step out of that comfort zone, and step into some hot pink heels. The secret into pulling it off, is believing that you can. Carrying yourself with confidence, and class, will make anyone believe that you are fabulous. Because I mean, you are. These current trends will get you on the map to fashion success. Beat the trends, and start wearing these stylish looks, and I promise every girl will want your opinion on what not to wear.

Success Series: The SWOT.

The Success Series

A series of posts that will lead you to the ultimate version of yourself. A happier, healthier, more successful you. I challenge all of my readers to open their hearts, minds, and eyes to understand how important it is to become the best version of who they are. This series is constructed for the understanding of personal purpose, cohesive confidence, and true happiness.

**I decided to write about something I am extremely passionate about, and that has seriously changed who I am, and modified me into the happiest  I have honestly ever been in my lifetime. It is 2017 ladies and gents, and this year has your name written ALL OVER IT! This series will have various contributing parts into the whole series. Enjoy xo

 

Giving all the Glory to God because I managed to find a sweet parking spot. Yessss. Thank you Lord for giving me the patience to not run that red light. Who am I kidding, I’m not that girl.  If you go to Coastal, you understand. #ccuprobs. I gathered my obnoxiously large purse, my pale pink notebook, and yanked my keys out of the ignition. This lecture I was about to attend in Wheelwright auditorium was the equivalent to three absences in my Global Business class so I kind, sorta, basically had to attend.

Nothing screams anxiety like walking into a auditorium of 150 unfamiliar faces, late, and not having anyone to sit with.  #Relatable.  I never thought that sitting through this 3 hour lecture would accidentally change my life. I never thought transferring to Coastal Carolina University would change my life. I never thought the people who anchored me, were the ones who truly were holding me back. And, I also never acknowledged the fact that I am endearingly capable of living a life that is spontaneous, freeing, and also empowering that night. It is funny how God leads you to the right people, at the right time, for all the right reasons.

A young entrepreneur named Adam Rice, CEO of ISI Elite Training, changed my whole outlook on life.

Who are you? 

When you look in the mirror, what do you see? No I am not talking about how your eyelashes are short. You have acne. Your eyebrows need some serious plucking. Look beneath that. Look into your own eyes. Can you recognize the face staring back at you? If you could name five adjectives that describes yourself, what would they be? *Emotionally*

Stop. Take out a paper and pen and write them down.

I’m silently giving you a moment to get up and go do it. Do not say you are “gonna do it later” – because trust me, you aren’t. ( The exact reason as to why you are not actually getting up and getting the paper, is the same reason as to why you probably are not striving. just saying. )

 Be honest with yourself.

Put your guard down. Do not make things up. Do not write down things that you eventually want to become. Write down who you are right now, in this very moment, at this very minute, to this very second. This is not to impress anyone, so be honest. Plus, who is going to see this anyways? 

This is for you.

In life, if you want to become successful, you have to know who you are.  Your flaws, your perfections, the things you hate, the things you love, the places you enjoy, you need to know who you are.

Strengths – Weaknesses – Opportunities – Threats

If you are familiar with marketing, this is a tool that is equipped to conquer the competition. If you do not know your product in marketing, business, retail… how are you going to sell it? Just like you, if you do not know yourself, inside & out- you are not going to excel. Yes, there is always going to be somebody better, somebody prettier, somebody  smarter, but there is never going to be somebody who is you. 

Get out your paper and write this down.

What are your Opportunities? What are you Threats?

Just think about who you are…….

. Are you the girl who stands up for what she believes in? Are you the boy who bullies other guys in school because you are insecure and you want the attention off yourself? What about the girl who is obsessed with art, but does not think she has the potential to go to the moon and back with it. Are you someone who tweets for attention? (not gonna lie, I use to be that girl). Are you someone who says things about people, but you do the exact same thing? Are you kind hearted, and mysterious? Dare to be different? Do you constantly do what you are told, or make you own decisions? Who makes you happiest? What triggers excitement in your eyes? It is completely okay if you have no idea who you are. This is your time to make a difference in your life, and start a beautiful journey to true happiness.

20 Things I Learned In 2016

The Year of… 

understanding, realization, heartbreak, acceptance, forgiveness. 

I can honestly say that 2016 was the biggest year yet for me. I have grown up, matured, and most importantly understood what life is all about.  I realized what I deserved, who deserved to be in my life, and how valuable I really am. Change is crucial to becoming the best version of yourself. Quitting my job, transferring schools, going to Disney World with two of my best friends, loosing people, ending relationships, piercing my nose, seeing Drake at Madison Square Garden, dying my hair blue, purple, pink, silver, and white… traveling out of the country for the first time, turning 20 …. through it all, the ups the downs, the days I didn’t want to the exist, and the days that I fell in love with life all over again …. I thank everyone who was in my life in 2016. Thank you for building me up, tearing me down, and helping me understand who I am, and how worthy I am.

Here are a few things I learned along the way…..

People will come and go out of your life. Even the people, who you thought would always be there, you need to learn to accept it.

It’s okay to be alone.  You have to learn how to trust yourself, embrace who you are, and most importantly- love yourself.

Cheating is a choice. End of Story.

Your passions are your passions for a reason, don’t ever give up on your dreams. 

Don’t surround yourself around people who try to tear you down. If you find yourself doing things you don’t want to do, trying to be something you’re not, adding a bad influence to you, you don’t need them in your life.

Don’t beg people to stay. If they want to stay in your life, they will. If they didn’t want to lose you, they’d still be there.

Life is all about choices.

Don’t wait around on people. Just go do it.

Don’t be afraid to do things you want to do. Pierce your nose, dye your hair, take a trip to NYC. You won’t regret it. The only things you’ll regret are the things you didn’t do.

This is YOUR LIFE. Not your best friends, not your moms, yours. So do what you want to do, they way you want to do it.

Life is too short to not say how you feel. Don’t leave things unsaid.

Cliché but you only live once, so do whatever your heart desires!

Don’t be afraid of doing something new. 

If you really love someone. Let. Them. Know. You never know what could happen.

 If someone really likes you, for you, you won’t have to pretend to be anything but yourself.

People will cling to you based on your successes.

Do not say maybe when you want to say no.

Stand up for what you believe in. You don’t have to do what everybody else is doing. That’s what makes us all different.

Get ready, do your makeup, put some jewelry on, have a cute outfit on, I learned that if you look good on the outside, it will make you feel better emotionally on the inside.

You are your own. You do not need anybody.

You are exactly where you are suppose to be.
